There are seven clear steps to achieving your goal with Litecast. Check out the steps below.

Estimating is the initial stage of Litecasts service. This process involves our dedicated team of Estimators producing quotations by deciphering Architects and Engineers drawings. In order to produce a quotation, the estimators require fully dimensioned floor plans, stipulating the loading details and partitions that may be on the floor. The Estimating team are extremely efficient in turning around quotations, and pride themselves on giving clients the most cost effective means of laying a floor; the estimators will carry out value engineering exercises where possible.

Once you receive your quotation and are satisfied with the price, we will require instruction from yourself (preferably in writing i.e. an email or letter) in order to process an order; following this you will receive an order acknowledgement with a provisional week commencing date for your delivery (this is subject to change if amendments are made to the design after order placement stage).

Our dedicated and experienced drawing team will work with your plans to design your beam and block layout drawing. Drawings will be produced within good time, to enable them to be checked and approved; once drawings have been approved, the job will be issued to our transport department for a delivery date to be scheduled. The design will emphasise where joists will need to be laid and also stipulate section details, for bearings etc. Our design team have a wealth of knowledge at their disposal should you require any further information.

All of Litecast’s beams are manufactured at our Pool Road site in Nuneaton, and meet quality control measures and European standards. All of our beams are pre-stressed to ensure strength, and then cast to 25mm increments. Beams will be sorted on site coinciding with individual jobs and delivered accordingly. For ease of installation and arrangement of beams on site, we will ensure to colour code beams should you have multi plot call offs.

Delivery will be scheduled by our transport department upon the approval of our design drawings. The transport department will liaise with you about your delivery date/time and the best vehicle for the job. We have a team of dedicated drivers with specialised vehicles transporting and offloading our beams.

We would strongly recommend that all installation is carried out in accordance with the Code of Practice for Safe Erection of Precast Concrete Flooring. A copy of our own installation guidlines will be supplied with all deliveries along with an A3 copy of your design layout.
