Allowance should be given to specific line, point and distributed loads from partitions and allowances within BS6399. Litecast staff will be pleased to offer design advice upon request. All calculations in accordance with BS8110.
Floor Finishes
Litecast beam and block floor is suitable for the application of a sand/cement screed as a directly bonded screed or on a separating membrane. Where the screed is laid over thermal insulation the screed should be minimum 65mm thick. Where the floor finish is poly/chipboard nominal levelling screed may be required.
Infill Blocks
Blocks should be manufactured in accordance with BS6073 1981 and minimum strength 7.0N/mm˛ or 3.5N/mm˛ with a transverse point load capacity of 3.5kN on a 420mm span. Litecast can cater for blocks of various sizes and we are pleased to give further assistance.
Grout
In situations where grouting is required. The floor should be thoroughly "wetted" and a 6:1 sharp sand/cement grout brushed into all joints.

For use in projects that involve etc.
